Why This Indicator Matters
Questionnaire asks self-reported sexual identity among Delaware public high school students.
Youth who “come out” are in desperate need of a safe space to process their experiences. During this vulnerable time, there are unique challenges faced by these teenagers that could have adverse implications in their lives. Because our culture makes it hard for individuals different from the norm to share their story without being judged or questioned, we need to adopt alternatives to support all youth, no matter how they identify.
