Why This Indicator Matters
Over the past thirty years, the perceived need of a college degree have led to an increase in college enrollment. However with this wave has come a sharp increase in tuition, resulting in many young adults saddled with large student loans. While many argue that the college experience- one of innovation and exploration- offers more than workforce preparation, the increasing costs associated with higher education often lingers long into adulthood.
