Notes
The American Community Survey (ACS) is conducted annually and provides vital information about our nation and its population - including the number and percent of children under age 18 in a town or county within the state of Connecticut.
For data reported through 2018, the percent of children under 18 is calculated by adding population from 0 through 17 and dividing by the total population for the state, each county, and each county subdivision (town).
For data reported beginning in 2019, the percent of children under 18 is taken directly from ACS 5-Year Estimate Table ID DP05.
