Definition

Number of dropouts in public secondary schools, by grade. Dropouts are children enrolled in public schools in 7th to 12th grades inclusively who did not re-enroll, graduate, report for class at the beginning of the school year, or meet the exclusionary conditions of transfer to another school, suspension, illness or death in the new school year. 

Percent data are calculated as percent of enrolled students in a given grade.
