Definition and Source



Births to mothers who indicated on the birth certificate that they participated in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program prenatally by race and Hispanic origin. Data may not agree exactly with counts and measures from the WIC program or other reporting systems. Data for Florida residents only.
White non-Hispanic - live births recorded as white alone and non-Hispanic
Black non-Hispanic - live births recorded as black alone and non-Hispanic
Other non-Hispanic - live births recorded as any other race alone or two or more races and non-Hispanic
Hispanic - live births recorded as being of any race and Hispanic
