The number and percent of children receiving free or reduced price lunch, at the state level and by school district. Data reflects March enrollment counts. Preschool and Kindergarten numbers are not included.
Per federal guidelines, children from families with incomes at or below 130 percent of the poverty level are eligible for free meals. Those with incomes between 130 percent and 185 percent of the poverty level are eligible for reduced-price meals, for which students can be charged no more than 40 cents.
NA = No Data Available. Those schools participating in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) do not have data to report and this is indicated by an NA designation. State level data includes charter schools and the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind.
