The number and rate per 1,000 juveniles ages 8 to 17 with delinquent complaints received by court services offices.


During 2019 and 2021, legislative changes in North Carolina resulted in the population groups served by the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice to be raised from ages 6 to 17, to ages 8 to 17. Therefore, caution should be used when comparing data for years prior to 2022 with data for the years 2022 and later.
