(Number-Literally Homeless) Number of individuals, families, and persons in families who follow HUD definition of literally homeless (which does not include families who are doubled up in housing; DC separately reports that roughly 70% of households seeking services for housing instability were living with family or friends at the time of their visit (https://ich.dc.gov/sites/default/files/dc/sites/ich/event_content/attachments/Hypothermia%20FY19%20-%20Families%20%28VWFRC%20%26%20ES%29.pdf)). The count of children in families also does not include unaccompanied homeless children/youth.
