Definition

Median income is the dollar amount which divides the income distribution in U.S.V.I. households into two equal groups -- half of households have income below the median, and half have income above. Data for the U.S. Virgin Islands is estimated for all families rather than for families with children.

2010 and 2020 data are from U.S. Census.

Notes

Income and poverty data are based on the preceding year, therefore 2007 poverty levels are based on income earned in 2006.
