Number and percent of Tennessee residents below age 21 enrolled in TennCare. TennCare is the healthcare system for persons who are Medicaid eligible or lack access to health insurance. Data reflect enrollments as of December of each year.

Data Source

Enrollment data were obtained from the Bureau of TennCare, Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration. Population data were complied from the population profile estimated by the Division of Population Health Assessment, Tennessee Department of Health. The KIDS COUNT division of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth organized data and calculated rates

Notes

State total includes recipients who are Tennessee residents for which their domicile is temporarily located outside of the state.
