Percent - live births with gestation age less than 37 weeks per 100 live births.

Live births 2001–2009: Louisiana State Center for Health Statistics, Louisiana Department of Health.
Notes
Three years of data were aggregated, then averaged. For example, data for 2001-2003 reflects an average of data for 2001, 2002, and 2003.
LNE (Low Number Events) - Numbers are not reported when there were more than zero and fewer than five events during the reporting period. Rates based on fewer than 20 events are not reported.
Note that "Total" data includes all racial and ethnic categories (not just black and white) and thus may be larger than the sum of the two racial categories presented here. Data for other racial and ethnic groups were not reported due to the small number of events in most parishes.
