Denominator: For 2020 – 2021: U.S. Census Bureau. Vintage annual county postcensal resident population by single year of age (0-84,85+), sex, race (11 groups), and Hispanic origin for April 1, 2020 (population estimates base) and July 1, 2020 to July 1, 2022 for Hawaii. Prepared under a collaborative arrangement with the U.S. Census Bureau, Population Division. For 2022 and beyond: U.S. Census Bureau, Population Division. Table CC-EST[YEAR]-SYASEX: Annual County and Puerto Rico Municipio Resident Population Estimates by Single Year of Age and Sex: [YEAR].

Technical Note: Denominators may be updated retroactively by the U.S. Census Bureau with each Vintage annual release. Changes may only be minor and not impact calculated rates. Rates, therefore, are not updated retroactively with each new release.
