Definition and Source



Event drop-out rate is the number of students in high school (grades 9-12) who leave school between the beginning of one school year and beginning of the next without earning a high school diploma or alternative credential.

GEOGRAPHY - Data reflects the school location, not the student's place of residence. DATE - Spring of reference year.  
LIMITATIONS - Data are not reported for geographies where the number of dropouts is less than 5 events. In these cases, NA is reported.
