The percentage of infants 0 through 6 months who are exclusively breastfeeding at six months. 

Data Source

Data are from the National Immunization Survey (NIS) two-year average numbers reported by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The current rate represents the CDC Breastfeeding Report Card 2020, using results from the 2018 and 2019 National Immunization Survey for the 2017 births cohort.

Notes

The current number represents is from 2018, reflecting the two-year average status of the prior two National Immunization Survey years.  The trend represents the two-year average status of the prior two National Immunization Survey years from 2012-2018.
