Definition

Percentage of 3rd, 5th and 8th grade students passing the Reading component of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams, by economic status of students. Economically Disadvantaged students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch or other public assistance. Passing rates are based on Level II: Satisfactory Academic Performance standards at the final Recommended phase-in.
