PROVIDER

Definition

Percent and number of female-headed families (female householder, no husband present) with children (under 18 years), whose incomes fall below the federal poverty line (set by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget).  Percents are calculated out of the total number of female-headed households with own children in the household.
