Percent of youth incarcerated at the Youth Rehabilitation Center (YRC) who were high school dropouts at the time of their admission.
The YRC (on St. Croix) is the only secured detention facility in the territory providing incarceration for pre-trial and adjudicated delinquents as well as adolescents legally transferred to adult status for committing serious felonies. The facility provides intake, social services, education, recreation, nutrition, health and mental health services, as well as all court-related and mandated services.
