Funding enrollment of children in Head Start by County by State Fiscal Year. Head Start and Early Head Start (HS/EHS) are federally funded programs serving low-income families with children birth to age 5 as well as pregnant women. Federal funding flows directly to local grantees and delegate agencies that oversee Head Start programming in communities.
