Definition

Children under age 18 who live with two parents  biological, adoptive or stepparents. Two parent families include married-couple families, as well as those in which the parents are unmarried partners. 

Data Source

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey.
The 2010-2012 estimates are based on the 3-Year Public Use Microdata Sample files.
The 2013-2015 estimates are based on an average of three 1-Year Public Use Microdata Sample files.

Notes

S - Estimates suppressed when the coefficient of variation is greater than or equal to 30.
