Definition
Number of enrolled students who drop out of public high school during any given school year. Rate is the percent of event dropout enrollment.
Data Source
Event counts are provided by the Office of the Research Division, Tennessee Department of Education. Enrollment data are from the Annual Report (Table 9) of the Tennessee Department of Education. The KIDS COUNT division of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth converted district-level data to county level and computed rate.
Notes
State special schools are not included in county data.
