The population of children ages 13 to 17.

National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Bridged-Race Population Estimates, United States July 1st resident population by state, county, age, sex, bridged-race, and Hispanic origin.

Notes

The latest population estimates are used only for the current year. Estimates for prior years are not revised.

The estimates use a model that incorporates information on natural changes such as births and deaths and net migration. Estimates are as of July 1st each year for the state of Michigan and all counties. Prior year’s estimates are not updated. For the cities of Detroit, Flint, and Grand Rapids, single-year data from the American Community Survey are used.

For 2020 city populations, age groups were estimated using 2019 ACS proportions with 2020 census population totals. 2020 ACS 1-year data were not used due to the effect of the pandemic on this survey.
