Percent of enrolled public school students who regularly attend school by Alaska Public Health Region
On June 9, 2021, US ED gave notification to DEED that the waiver for this accountability measure would be approved. As a result, schools that were identified for support in the 2019-2020 school year maintained their identification status in the 2020-2021 school year. These identifications were based on data from the 2018-2019 school year.

Regular attendance is defined as attending school for greater than 90 percent of the school days in which the student is enrolled.  Regular attendance is the opposite, or inverse, of chronic absenteeism, and is different from a school's or district's daily attendance rate which measures the percent of students attending the school or district on average each day.

The student count included any student enrolled for at least 10 days at a specific school during the 2015-2016 school year whereas the student count includes only those that had been enrolled for at least one half of the school term during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years.
