Definition
The number and percentage of children 2-4 years of age enrolled in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than or equal to the 95th percentile for children of same age and gender. The prevalence rate is the percentage of obesity. The denominator for calculating the percentage of obesity is the number of children 2-4 years of age participating in WIC. Records with unknown or invalid data were excluded from the analyses.
Data relate to State Fiscal Year (July-June).
