Number: Number of individuals ages 0-18 without health insurance.
Percent: Percent of population without health insurance by selected age group.
Definition of Health Insurance Coverage as defined by the Current Population Survey: A person was considered covered by health insurance at some time during the year if he or she was covered by at least one of the following types of coverages: Employer/union, Privately purchased (not related to employment), Medicare, Medicaid, Military health care (military, CHAMPVA, VA, Indian Health Services), Someone outside the household, Other. An individual can have more than one type of coverage during the year.
