Definition

The percentage of households with children birth to age 17 who reported that at least one child in the household was unable to attend daycare or another childcare arrangement at some time in the past 4 weeks because of the coronavirus pandemic by how adults’ employment was impacted as a result of childcare being closed or unavailable. Only respondents who reported that a child could not attend daycare or another childcare arrangement and those who provided a valid response are included.
