Definition

The percentage of adults living in households with children birth to age 17 who reported that they currently do not have health insurance. Adults were classified as uninsured if they did not report any private health insurance coverage or public health plan coverage at the time of the interview. Adults were also classified as uninsured if they had only Indian Health Service coverage. Only respondents who provided a valid response are included.
