The SAT measures a student's college and career readiness - this test provides a way to measure the knowledge, skills and understandings essential for success in college and career.
The SAT Math benchmark score (530) is associated with a 75% chance of earning at least a C in first-semester, credit-bearing, college-level courses in algebra, statistics, precalculus or calculus.
The SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) score (480) is associated with a 75% chance of earning at least a C in first-semester, credit-bearing, college-level courses in history, literature, social science or writing.
Both: Student scored at or above proficency in both Math and ERW
None: Student did not score at or above proficency for either Math or ERW
