Note that because of the way Census reports race for this indicator, the percentages may add up to more than 100%. Specifically, people can identify as both Hispanic and as any other racial group (except white) and will be counted in both categories. So a child who is identified as Hispanic and Black will be counted in both the Hispanic and the Black categories (but a child who is identified as Hispanic and white will only be counted as Hispanic).
