Definition

The percentage of New Mexico high school students, ages 12 to 17, who engage in binge drinking.
For boys (ages 12-17), binge drinking is defined as having five or more drinks on at least one occasion in the last 30 days; for girls (ages 12-17), binge drinking is defined as having four or more drinks on at least one occasion in the last 30 days. Prior to 2016, the definition of binge drinking was the same for both boys and girls (ages 12-17).
