Definition

Children under age 18 in immigrant families who are U.S. citizens. Children in immigrant families are themselves foreign-born or reside with at least one foreign-born parent. Children are U.S. citizens if born in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or the Northern Marianas, born abroad of American parents or by naturalization.
