Each reported year represents a school year. Public school students enrolled in un-graded classrooms are not included. Beginning in 2002, the attendance rates are based on the "average daily attendance" divided by the "average daily membership," as of September of the given school year. Previous years' attendance rates were based on the "average daily attendance" divided by the total enrollment as of October of the given year and are available by contacting Rhode Island KIDS COUNT.

Students from Little Compton attend high school in Portsmouth, students from Jamestown attend high school in North Kingstown, and students from Foster and Glocester attend school in the Foster-Glocester Regional District.
