Definition

Children born to women who between 15-17 years of age at the time of birth. This Information is collected from birth certificates, and births are assigned to the county in which the mother resides, even if the birth occurs in a different county.

Notes

Includes births to only 15- to 17-year-old girls. (13-, 14-, 18- and 19-year-olds are excluded from this measure.)
