PROVIDER

Definition

Unduplicated number of young children ages 10 to 17 who were brought to juvenile court for delinquent, status or unruly charges during a given calendar year. The rate is per 1,000 youth of same age group.

Data Source

Referral counts were collected from the annual report published at Tennessee Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (TCJFCJ) website. Population data up to year 2020 were collected from the US Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
As no population data were available in OJJDP website from 2021, they were derived from the population profiles by the division of  Population Health Assessment, Tennessee Department of Health. 

Notes

Sullivan county includes Sullivan Divisions I and II, along with Bristol. Data from the Johnson City Courts in included in Washington county. 
NA = Not Available
2021 data were not fully available as a new data reporting system was adopted by the Administrative Office of Court.
