The percentage of adults ages 18 to 24 who reported that they felt down, depressed or hopeless for more than half of the days or nearly every day for the past 7 days. Only respondents who provided a valid response are included.

Item nonresponse increased substantially between Phase 1 (April 23, 2020-July 21, 2020) and Phase 2 (August 19, 2020-October 26, 2020). The potential bias due to item nonresponse errors has not been evaluated.
