Definition

Children under age 18 living in households, where in the previous 12 months, there was an uncertainty of having, or an inability to acquire, enough food for all household members because of insufficient money or other resources. 2020 & 2021 data are Feeding America's projections of food insecurity levels in response to projected changes to annual unemployment and poverty due to COVID-19. 2018-19 data are historical food insecurity estimates from Map the Meal Gap (map.feedingamerica.org)
