Definition

Pre-term births, which refers to babies born with a gestational period of less than 37 completed weeks, by racial/ethnic identity of the mother. 

It should be noted that some estimates are based on incomplete data that the CDC did not release to comply with standards of confidentiality and anonymity.  It should be assumed that there is some error inherent in the above statistics.
