Definition
Numerator: Number of mothers ages 15 to 19 who gave birth and already have had at least one birth. Denominator: Number of teens ages 15 to 19 who gave birth. Rate calculation: 100 times the numerator divided by the denominator.
Data Source
Birth Certificate Records, Georgia Department of Public Health, Office of Health Indicators for Planning (OHIP). Data collection is the responsibility of the Vital Records Branch.
Notes
Records with previous birth information missing are excluded from the numerator and denominator. S: Data Suppressed indicates that there were 4 or fewer events on which rates would be based.
