PROVIDER

Definition

Numerator: Number of deaths of infants residing in Georgia (regardless of where the death occurred) and less than 1 year of age. Denominator: Total number of live births. Rates calculation: 1,000 times the numerator divided by the denominator.

Death Certificate Records, Georgia Department of Public Health, Office of Health Indicators for Planning (OHIP). Data collection is the responsibility of the Vital Records Branch.
