The number of New Mexico children under the age of 18 living with grandparents who may or may not be financially or otherwise responsible for them. All Ages refers to the total number of grandchildren 0-17 years old.
The percentage should be read as the number of grandchildren in a particular age group relative to the total number of 0-17 year old grandchildren. Thus in 2022, 36% of the children who lived with their grandparents were under the age of 6.
