The percent of young children (under age 6) who have no parent currently in the labor force. These figures are based on five-year estimates from the American Community Survey. Calculated by adding neither parent in labor force (for children under age 6 with two parents) with parent not in labor force (for children under age 6 with a single-parent) and divided by the total number of children (under age 6).
