The percent of 10th graders who reported a physical disability or a long-term health problem.

The data used for this measure come from the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey (HYS). Data can be found at: http://www.askhys.net/.
S: Data have been suppressed due to low response rates (below 40% participation).

The total confidence interval (upper bound minus lower bound) of the percent estimate, is 10 percentage points or greater, which indicates that this estimate has a large margin of error. At this time HYS does not recommend that you attempt to determine significant trends over time, only to determine changes from a single survey administration to another, i.e., a change from 2006 to 2008. For trend analysis, we recommend that you have at least 5 data points.

The HYS is a collaborative effort of the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Department of Health, the Department of Social and Health Service's Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Community Trade and Economic Development, the Family Policy Council and the Liquor Control Board.
