Definition
The number of Oklahoman's who are uninsured estimates the population under age 19 and under age 65 who have no health insurance coverage coverage anytime during the year. The percent of Oklahoman's who are uninsured compares the number of uninsured individuals in each age group to all individuals in that age group.
Data Source
Small Area Health Insurance Estimates (SAHIE) by state and county. SAHIE are based on the Annual Social and Economic Supplement of the Current Population Survey, are provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, and are sponsored by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Notes
A margin of error (MOE) is the difference between an estimate and its upper or lower confidence bounds. Confidence bounds can be created by adding the margin of error to the estimate (for an upper bound) and subtracting the margin of error from the estimate (for a lower bound). The SAHIE Programs uses a 90% confidence level.
