Definition

The number of live births for which no designation of paternity was made. The percent is the number divided by total live births.  Percents are suppressed with an "S" for fewer than two occurrences in the three-year period to maintain reliability.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Division for Vital Records and Health Statistics.

Notes

Data for 2008 is single-year. Data for 2009 is a two-year average. All other years are three-year averages ending in the year listed.

County data and data for the cities of Detroit and Flint were revised for 2008-2015 on 3/1/2019.

Data for all other cities were revised for 2008-2015 on 4/1/2019.
