Definition
The number reflects children ages birth to 18 receiving assistance in the Family Independence Program (FIP) in December. The Family Independence Program (FIP) provides temporary cash assistance to families with children and pregnant people to help them pay for living expenses such as rent, heat, utilities, clothing, food and personal care items.
The percent is based on the population ages birth to 18 in the prior year. Percentages are suppressed with an "S" for counts fewer than 6 to maintain reliability. NA: Not Available
