Definition and Source



Births to teens ages 15-19, by mother's county of residence. Teen birth rate is calculated as the number of teen births per 1,000 females ages 15-19 in the population. Data are summed over the five year period.

Includes Montana resident births only. Births that had an unknown county are only included at the state level.

NA - The count or rate is suppressed for one of the following reasons: 1) the relative standard error was greater than 30% or couldn't be determined; 2) the number of events was too small to be appropriate for publication; or, 3) it could be used to calculate another suppressed value.
