Definition
Number and percent of students in grades PK-12 attending a public school where more than 75% of children qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Public school children qualify for free meals if their family's income is less than 130 percent of the federal poverty level. Public school children qualify for reduced-price meals if their family's income is less than 185 percent of the federal poverty level.

New data suppression guidelines implemented by the Colorado Department of Education have limited the ability to calculate new data for this indicator in recent years.
