Definition

The number/percent of children ages 0-17 who were receiving Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits during the time period specified for each year in the notes. The state total includes children whose county is unknown or who reside out of state.The numerator is the number of children under age 18 who received SNAP in December and the denominator is the number of children ages 0 17.

Notes

Data for 1999 through 2001 represent enrollments in October of those years.
