Definition

This indicator shows the average number of children (ages birth to 17) whose parents receive the Caretaker Supplement to W-2 (Wisconsin Works) for children living with a parent with a disability. Wisconsin Works is the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program in Wisconsin.

These data are an annual average of the number of children receiving the supplement each month. Starting in 2019, small monthly counts under 10 used to calculate the annual average were redacted for privacy reasons, resulting in some data being listed as an average of "Less than 1."

These data may have been influenced by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, starting in 2020.
