The 1981 and 1990 data are based upon the BSAP (Basic Skills Assessment Program), which was administered from 1981 through 1998 to students in the third, sixth, eighth, and tenth grades to determine student skills in reading, mathematics, writing, and science.
Due to differences between the assessments, the BSAP results are not comparable to the PACT, the SCPASS, the ACT Aspire results, or the SC READY results.
