Definition

The number of single-year births that were paid for by Medicaid. The percent is based on total live births. Percents are suppressed with an "S" for fewer than six occurrences in a single-year to maintain reliability.












Data Source

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Division for Vital Records and Health Statistics.

Notes

Births by county are based on the mother's county of residence.

County data and data for the cities of Detroit and Flint were revised for 2008-2015 on 2/5/2019.

All other city data were revised for 2008-2015 on 4/1/2019.
